This painting showcases the vibrant blue icy waters of Lake Superior in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Winters up north can be astonishing. Growing up in South Bend, Indiana.. we didn’t have the arctic temps to achieve the BLUE color you find so commonly up north. I just love that phenomena so much.
